A new single level warehouse structure with attached office building was constructed by Calder Stewart Industries at 1 Treffers Road and intended to be used for tyre storage and administration.

The ground conditions at 3% CBR with 48kN racking post loads and 160kN forklift axle loads necessitated a 175mm thick post-tensioned slab on grade over the warehouse area of 4,000m². The PT floor was poured over two consecutive days with its central joint in permanent compression.
